There is no time like the present!

I've posted a couple of times lately about how our choices and our habits of health affect our health journey. In case you hadn't guessed yet, I'm taking steps to try to move myself up the health continuum towards optimal health--realizing that "not sick but not healthy" isn't where I want to be anymore.


This post marks one month officially into my journey.


For those of you close to me, you know I'm crazy busy--work, school, the farm, and staying connected to loved one is enough to keep most anyone going. Throw in 2020 and being a newlywed, and life stays a whirlwind--mostly in the best of ways!


But there is no time like the present to make improvements to your health, right?


Last week, however, my personal schedule was way out of sorts and I was struggling to stay on track. And I will admit, I had a couple of slipups.


But instead of throwing in the towel and jumping feet first into a pint of Ben and Jerry's, I stopped and reflected....


I have been working on giving up my soda habit--did you know Mountain Dew kind of tastes like drinking syrup after not drinking it for 2 weeks? Not really as pleasurable as my brain had told me it was going to be....


I now drink so much water my eyeballs are floating (at least it seems that way lol)

I haven't felt deprived and have had very few cravings--aside from cheeze-it crackers, my mid afternoon weakness! Thank goodness for healthy alternatives that I can crunch instead!!

But despite myself, I'm losing--and therefore winning!!


I think sometimes things happen for a reason. Doors shut and doors open to provide direction and encouragement to move forward, if you are open to the opportunity.


In this case the door has opened to show me a system that incorporates all the theories I learned when I becoming a health coach last year--combined with 6 macrohabits of health, a community of supportive peers, and a personal health coach of my own who is there to provide support and accountability along my journey.


So here's to 10 down and many more to go, as well as an invitation for you to start your own health journey with me!
